PINTAR Foundation
 


In 2008, the PINTAR Foundation was established to spearhead the school adoption concept. The Foundation functions with the mission to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Malaysian children from impoverished families and underserved communities. Powered by Corporate Malaysia, we strive to complement existing on-going efforts by the Government to provide equitable access to quality education for all whilst ensuring schools and students receive adequate aid to attain the highest standards of education.

Since the inception of PINTAR Foundation, many notable programmes have been implemented at underserved schools with the objectives of raising awareness on the importance of education and provide educational support and interesting activities for students. While these advances are significant, there is still a long way to go, with many avenues and opportunities yet to be tapped on.


To realise the objective of levelling the playing field between rural and urban students, PINTAR Foundation collaborates with Corporate Malaysia; a decision that has proven to greatly benefit students, in inspiring and nurturing and our young talents to become future leaders of the country.


Today, the Foundation opens its doors to all corporate organizations who share a common vision to improve education outcomes and develop human capital of high calibre. As of February 2013, there are 31 PINTAR members and partners adopting 316 PINTAR primary and secondary schools nationwide, including in Sabah and Sarawak.


Education also involves the moulding of our younger generation into becoming successful, well-rounded and responsible citizens. With that in mind, PINTAR Foundation develops and implements programmes based on four core modules: Motivational and Team Building, Educational Support, Capability and Capacity Building and Reducing Vulnerabilities and Social Issues. Guided by these modules, PINTAR Foundation strives to nurture and inspire a generation of outstanding global citizens.
